As a gifted kid I can say that it’s not easy being us, people think we’re annoying and think we brag about when all we do is mention an upcoming project we have to do, anytime we have a group project everyone make me do the work, we get assignments on things we’ve never been taught, we get 3 days to finish a 20 page project, we get called a teachers pet for answering something right or finishing an assignment first, on top of all the work we get we still have to do regular homework, everyone excepts the best from you, if we try to help someone we get frustrated sometimes because its easy for us and comes naturally we’re not trying to be rude we rlly do want to help and for that you get known as a rude person, everyone thinks of you as a rude person a teachers pet and a person who brags about stuff, but if you would get to know us you would know that we’re more than just a person that goes to school and gets good grades, and if we get a score of 75-90 that’s considered bad, many people think it’s easy but in reality it’s not, I cry almost everyday because of all the work I get and the due dates and it causes me to stress more than I should because I’m still young I shouldn’t be focusing on how to solve for X but here I am , so next time you see a gifted child and think that were rude or selfish and not humble think again..

I was in gifted for awhile (I gave up and literally just stopped going to the class cause it was exhausting 💀) and I can confirm we are the nice quiet kids who are just overworked and most of us have trauma and push ourselves way to hard because we think we have to be completely perfect or they'll hate us ❤️
